Why I Love Being Part of Incognito
Every year, I take part in the Incognito art sale in support of The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, and honestly—it’s one of my favorite things to get involved in.
If you haven’t heard of it, Incognito is such a clever and meaningful fundraiser. Artists from all over (well-known and up-and-coming!) donate postcard-sized artworks, but here’s the twist: everything is sold anonymously. So people buy based on what they love, without knowing who created it. It’s such a fun idea, and all the money raised goes to help fund vital care for children and families around Ireland through Jack and Jill.
There’s something really lovely about creating a tiny piece, knowing it’s going out into the world to do some good. I always enjoy working on my little postcards and imagining where they’ll end up. It’s a small thing, but it’s such a powerful way to give back—and to be part of something bigger than yourself.
I’ve been taking part in Incognito for five years now, and it never gets old. The buzz around the reveal, seeing all the amazing artworks, and knowing you’ve helped (even in a tiny way) makes it so worthwhile.
This year was the first year since before covid that its being held in a gallery space again,. Was great to get in and to have a chat with the fabulous Lucinda Hall pictured above with me, she is the driving force behind Incognito!❤️
